MUSIC MINISTRY

In addition to singing and playing each Sunday morning and evening, our Adult Choir and Orchestra present the Living Christmas Tree each December. There are also special musical presentations at Easter and patriotic selections near July 4th.

Adult Choir

All adults interested in the Adult Choir who are not currently a part of the program are invited to attend a rehearsal to find out more about your opportunities. You do not have to be an accomplished soloist or be able to read music to join the choir. However, you must be able to sing on pitch. In addition, you must be a member of Florence Baptist Temple or in the process of becoming a member. There is no audition required for membership in the Choir and loving child care is provided during rehearsal times.

The Adult Choir is a large group with a warm, accepting, family atmosphere where you can experience inspirational worship as well as encouragement and prayer support. The Adult Choir rehearses Sunday afternoons at 4:15.

Adult Orchestra

If you play an instrument, there is probably a place for you in our Orchestra. To be a member of the Orchestra one must possess a basic level of proficiency and possess a Godly attitude toward ministry. A basic level of proficiency refers to two years playing experience or current participation in instrumental instruction and being able to play in tune. The Adult Orchestra rehearses Sunday afternoons at 4:15.

Living Christmas Tree

For many years Florence Baptist Temple has presented an exciting musical Living Christmas Tree. The program is filled with the sights and sounds of Christmas celebrating the Savior's birth. Click here for additional information regarding the Living Christmas Tree.
